Second Day as a Blogger

Second Day as a Blogger

I've been considering blogging for a couple of years.  I've been interested in finding ways to express myself, share my semi-passions, and document some successes and failures.  Yesterday was the first time that I actually made plans and implemented activities to blog.  I spent my free time reviewing blog hosting sites, pros and cons of blogging and opportunities for connections.

This morning when I woke up, I looked at my house (a mess), my container garden (1/2 completed), my children (sleeping all over the house), my schedule (documented in several different locations), and decided that I would actually put my fingers to the keyboard and blog.

Over the past several years, my life experiences have been ordinary.  I've been exhausted, overwhelmed and thinking that there must be more.  However, I really like my life.  I'm addicted to coffee, live off of over commitments, and push my children to do their best.  I'm not sure that I would have it any other way.  For me, "go, go, go" is "great, great, great" even though most of the time my going and greatness helps others.

We've all heard it, take time for yourself.  You need to make yourself first sometimes.  However, today on my second official day as a blogger, I've decided to share that it is okay to be number two. Others will still remember and value you if second place is your favorite spot.
